Students with Additional Needs

Library services and facilities for students with SENs.

You can check-out items at a self-service machine or a member of staff can do this for you at the Service Desk.

Loans are automatically renewed unless they are needed by another borrower, in which case we will notify you via university email that they have been recalled. You can read more about this, including what auto-renewal applies to and what happens if you don't return a recalled loan on time, on our main Borrowing page.

If you have difficulty returning library loans please let us know.  If you return items by post we recommend that you ask for a postage receipt.  Please note that there are no concessions associated with the late return of library loans, unless by agreement with Student Advice.  If you are absent due to extenuating circumstances such as illness please ask your tutor to contact us to confirm the absence.

In addition to the 24-hour collection service described on the Accessibility Services page, you can also use the Request Item buttons in WorldCat to reserve items which are already on loan. We will email you when they're ready to collect. You will then need to check them out.
