SCONUL Access is a network of university libraries. A reciprocal scheme, it allows library users to visit other libraries in the network and, in many instances, borrow resources.
If you are a student or staff member from another institution wishing to use our library you will need to apply to join the SCONUL Access through your home institution. Once a member of the network you can then join our library. To do this please send an email to library@bishopg.ac.uk with the subject line 'SCONUL Access application'. We will then send you a link to an online application form; you will need to upload a photo of yourself as part of this process.
Once your membership of our library is approved you can collect your library membership card from our library's Service Desk (click here for Service Desk opening times), at which time you will be asked to show formal ID and proof of your SCONUL Access membership, as issued by the library at your home institution.
Band A, B and C members of the SCONUL Access network are entitled to join our library as an external borrower. External borrower membership is free for the duration of your SCONUL Access membership. If you are a sixth form student under 18 years of age you may use the Library for study and reference purposes, free of charge, if you are accompanied and supervised by someone 18 years of age or over.
